Mercedes EQE SUV - Automotive Visualisation

Overview

A personal project, made to work through what a full automotive campaign visual demands rather than to fill a brief. The set treats an electric SUV as the subject of a key visual: a mirror-flat surface, an aurora over a distant shoreline, and a night sky doing all the lighting work.

The problem the scene sets up

A white car under a coloured sky is a deliberately awkward brief. White is the first thing to blow out, and an aurora is a large, low, saturated light source - exactly what turns a white body panel green.

The scene keeps the car reading as white by letting the aurora own the background and the reflection while the body picks up only the cool edge of it. The mirror floor earns its place here: it doubles the aurora without adding a second light on the car itself.

Framing for a campaign

The set was built as a campaign would need it - a three-quarter hero, a side profile and a high rear angle, plus a vertical crop for Stories. Same scene, same lighting, different cameras, which is the point: a campaign needs frames that belong together, not three good images that happen to be of the same car.
