TKH - MTJD Jet Drone Visualisation

Overview

TKH Technology is a Polish company developing the MTJD - Modular Turbo Jet Drone, a jet-powered unmanned platform flying on turbofan engines the company builds in-house. For its trade-fair presentation TKH needed a film that could explain the platform in a few minutes of screen time.

Why visualisation

A jet drone is a hard subject for a booth film. The aircraft itself cannot be parked at a stand in flight, and the things that make the platform interesting - the modular payload bay that reconfigures for different missions, the in-house jet propulsion - sit inside the airframe, where no camera can go.

Visualisation solves both problems at once. The 3D model can be opened up mid-shot: the fuselage turns translucent, the payload space lights up, and the modularity stops being a bullet point and becomes something the viewer watches happen.

My role

I built the 3D visualisation of the MTJD and produced the promotional film shown at the fair - modelling shots around the platform's key selling points and pacing them for a booth screen, where the film has to work in a loop and hold attention without a voice-over.
