Overview
Two 360-degree films - Emocje ("Emotions") and Jakie życie taki trap - rendered in Unreal Engine and delivered for VR headsets. Both are fully animated pieces: stylised environments, a cast of animated characters and a story the viewer stands inside of, free to look in any direction.
Emocje

Emocje takes its viewer through a stylised city - from a hot-air balloon ride above the clouds down to a subway tunnel where the film visualises what emotions do inside the body, with a glowing nervous system drawn over the darkness.

Jakie życie taki trap

Jakie życie taki trap follows its protagonist through club backrooms, concrete corridors and a rooftop where beats are made on a sampler - up to a therapist's office, where the story lands.

My role
I supervised the Unreal technical crew, handled the 360 rendering and animated the characters - both facial performance and body movement.
With 360 material the decisions made before anything is rendered - projection, resolution budget, how the scene is built and lit for a viewer who can look anywhere - determine whether the result holds up in a headset. There is no reframing later. Character animation carries extra weight for the same reason: in VR the viewer stands next to the characters, so faces and movement are watched from arm's length rather than through a directed frame.
